The management team and owners of Atlantic Fabrication and Boiler Services, Inc. (AFBS), consists of President - Sean Begarek , Vice President/ Production Manager – Josh Perry, Treasurer– Mark Perry II, Office Manager- Aaron McMillion, and Operations Director- Paul Craze, who collectively have unique and vast experience in the ship repair industry, construction industry, manufacturing industry, and customer service.
Our management expertise has cultivated many relationships over the years as a dependent source for many Government agencies, (i.e. – U.S. Navy, MARMC, U.S.C.G., MSC , Marad, NOAH, Federal Industrial Supply Center, VDOT, City of Norfolk, City of Chesapeake, NASA ) and many commercial accounts such as Maersk Lines, Mormac Marine, Amsea, Patriot Shipping, Steris Corporation and Crowley Marine. Contracting with the various firms has ranged from several hundred dollars to several million dollars.
Our employees are regularly trained and tested on their abilities to read and comprehend the requirements of specifications, drawings, GTR’s, NAVSEA Standard Items and other applicable documents. These skills enable them to be extremely responsive and quickly adapt to changes required by our customers.
AFBS is ISO 9000 compliant, and certified small business. During the last decade, we have successfully completed various contracts as the Prime Contractor while holding multiple Navy, MSC, and Coast Guard IDIQ contracts. Throughout our history, we have consistently performed to the satisfaction of our customers, providing on-time, high-value repairs, and manufactured products.

AFBS currently has over 12,000 square feet of covered and heated shop space equipped with extensive rigging gear and testing and certifying weights, as well as substantial sheet metal fabrication equipment. The facility, which also includes over two (2) acres of fenced storage space, is centrally located on the East Coast with the ability to acquire substantial contracts in other ports across the country.
